Our members are people from your community. We are doctors, lawyers, teachers and entrepreneurs. We represent
all walks of life, color and creed. We are all different, yet we have a common bond. That bond is our inability to
be comfortable in our own skin. No matter what 12-step program we belong to, we are all Alcoholics. That means we
all suffer from the malady of discontent. Some of us use drugs or alcohol to get well; others use sex, food,
violence, etc.
At first these things worked for us. That drink used to sooth our discomfort, but eventually it
stopped working. Now, the only thing that works for us is Alcoholics Anonymous and the variety of 12-step
programs that have spawned from AA. This includes Overeaters Anonymous (OA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA),
Alanon, and dozens more. Whatever you are suffering from, there is hope. Please just give it a try. After
all, it's free and meetings last about an hour. What do you have to lose?
